About Italian Charms and Our Products

What are Italian Charms?

Italian charms are modular links that hook together to form an Italian charm bracelet, keychain, watch, necklace, or other jewelry. Because of the way the links hook together, it allows the bracelet or watch band to stretch to put over your hand.

With Italian charm jewelry, you can replace the blank links one by one with different designs of Italian charms. There are different types of Italian charms. Some have a design soldered or glued onto the face of the charm link. Most of these designs are made from enamel. There are also Italian charms with rhinestones attached.

Another type of Italian charm is the laser charm. A design or words are laser engraved into the face of the charm.

Photo Italian charms are made in a couple of different ways. One type has a photo image burned onto the face of the charm. The other has an actual photograph placed in the face of the charm and enclosed under a clear coating.

Our photo Italian charms have an actual photo, so the images are clear and true color. Our photos are printed on a high quality photo printer. The photos are enclosed in the charm link under a clear, waterproof, and crack resistant coating. It is like looking at the photo under glass. They are very durable and will provide years of enjoyment.

Our enamel Italian charms have the enamel design soldered onto the charm link for the best durability.

Our Italian charm jewelry and charms are made of quality stainless steel. They are very durable and will not rust or tarnish. All of our Italian charms are completely compatible with any of the standard size Italian charm bracelets, keychains, watches, and necklaces.

Italian Charm Sizes:

The sizes of Italian charms we use are the Standard, Mega, and Superlink. The standard size is approximately 3/8" square. The mega is approximately 6/8" square. And the superlink is about 3/8" in width by 3/4" in length.

We have two types of mega Italian charm. One can hook two medium sized Italian charm bracelets together, for a double bracelet look. The other can be placed into a single medium sized Italian charm bracelet or other Italian charm accessories. Italian charms are made the same size by all companies. This makes all Italian charms and Italian charm jewelry compatible with each other.

The measurements below will help you in deciding the approximate size bracelet you will need. You can remove or add Italian charms to make it the size you need. This is also very helpful when giving Italian charm jewelry as gifts. (Note: Due to the small size of Italian charms, this jewelry is not intended for toddlers.)

Adding and Removing Italian Charms:

Adding and removing links on Italian charm jewelry is easy. We will include an instruction sheet showing how to remove and add charm links with each Italian charm bracelet, watch, keyring, or necklace order. This is especially helpful if you are new to Italian charm jewelry or giving them as gifts. We also have an Italian Charm Tool. This tool makes changing Italian charm links quick and easy.

Care of Italian Charms:

Rub with a soft cloth to polish and clean. Do not soak in jewelry cleaner or use harsh chemicals on your Italian charms or Italian charm jewelry. Do not wear Italian charm jewelry into hot tubs or swimming pools.
